How to take Admission in VITEEE?

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) is the all India level entrance examination organized by the VIT University. By this examination, admission to 5,000 B.Tech seats in the Vellore and Chennai campus of VIT University is provided, the examination is conducted in 118 cities of India.

The Eligibility Criteria of the Candidates

The candidates who are appearing /passed his/her higher secondary examination from the state board, central board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certified Examination (ISCE, New Delhi) are eligible to apply for VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE), The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) candidates are also eligible to apply, minimum 60% marks in aggregate is required in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology at 10+2, the candidates belonging from SC/ST category or North Eastern states are required to obtain 50% aggregate marks in PCM at 12th standard, students studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply, students from National Institute of Open Learning (NIOP) can also apply for VITEEE.

VIT Engineering Entrance Examination is conducted for admission to B.Tech program, total 125 questions will appear in the examination of VITEEE, question paper type – the question asked in the examination are object type having four alternative options, number of sections – the questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects, exam mode will be computer-based test, exam duration – total time of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be provided for the VITEEE computer-based test, number of sessions it includes 3 sessions – I session is from 9.00 am to 11.30 am /II session from  12.30 pm to 3.00 pm / III section from 4.00 pm to 6.30 pm, making scheme for every correct response 1 mark is awarded and no mark will be deducted for the wrong as there will be no negative marking.

The question paper will consist of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology and English subjects. Most of the questions asked in the examination will come from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus.

The syllabus of VITEEE has been determined to assess the knowledge and aptitude of the aspirants for higher education in engineering, it is mostly based on class X and XII syllabus.
